    Homeowner Spotlight

Congratulations to our newest Partner Family, Roberto Cintora.  At the Jewett house blessing on Sunday, the ceremony was led by Pastor Karen Schlack from the First Presbyterian Church of Elgin, keys were presented by Mayor Kaptain, and Roberto and sons were obviously happy to be a new Partner Family.   And again thanks to the all our volunteers, donors and the City of Elgin for donating the house.  Without all of you, this just does not happen.

    Thrivent Builds

Thank you so much to St. Peter Lutheran Church of Arlington Heights for working on our Thrivent house at 313 Gertrude Street in Elgin for their annual 3-day blitz build!! There was a visual difference between when they started Thursday morning, July 10, and the end of the day Saturday, July 12. From building the front porch to breaking up 100’ of concrete sidewalk and digging a drain tile ditch, hanging siding, and more, even in the pouring down rain!! We cannot thank you enough for all of your hard work!!

Women Build Clinic, Lowe's of Arlington Heights

HFHNFV held its second Women Build Clinic at Lowe's of Arlington Heights on Saturday, June 28. The tools were demonstrated by a respresentative from Bosch. The clinic was well attended, and the women there could not get enough instruction. A special thank you to Lowe's and Bosch for sending Tom to demo your great tools.
