    Homeowner Spotlight

Congratulations to our newest Partner Family, Roberto Cintora.  At the Jewett house blessing on Sunday, the ceremony was led by Pastor Karen Schlack from the First Presbyterian Church of Elgin, keys were presented by Mayor Kaptain, and Roberto and sons were obviously happy to be a new Partner Family.   And again thanks to the all our volunteers, donors and the City of Elgin for donating the house.  Without all of you, this just does not happen.

    Building Together

Our mission is more than building a home, it's building a future for a family.  Regardless of your experience using a hammer, Habitat for Humanity of Northern Fox Valley offers many opportunities for you to get involved as an individual, a group, or as a corporation.

    Volunteering Needs

Habitat for Humanity of Northern Fox Valley has builds every Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday from 8:30am to 4:00pm all year long for those ages 16+.

All of our affiliate projects are currently in Elgin. Please check VolunteerUP for our open build days and sites for individual volunteers:

Be sure to check VolunteerUP regularly for changes/additions to the build schedule, possible projects you will be working on, or to register for a build!!

Please note all potential projects will be updated two weeks before a build day in an announcement at the top of each VolunteerUP sign-up page. All jobs are subject to change based on productivity of teams before you, number of volunteers per work day, and weather. This list is meant to give a general idea of the stage of construction for each house.

    Zurich North America

Each year, one of our top corporate sponsors and volunteer teams, Zurich North America, hosts A Time For Giving during the month of September. This month-long giving campaign allows employees to support Zurich's six core charities, of which Habitat for Humanity is one, through various fundraising activities such as silent auctions, bake sales, and chili cook-offs.

Another such fundraising activity is the Charity Cup, which is an extension of Zurich and GOLF Magazine's brand advertising program, focused on the natural synergies between Zurich, golf, and community investment. Charity Cup is a fun, engaging, and educational online golf game. As a core charity, Habitat for Humanity competes with other charities in the Zurich Cup. This is a challenge where charities win points by having their supporters go to the Zurich Charity Cup website and play Zurich's online golf game to win points for their favorite charity. The game runs for the entire month of September.

There will be two ways for you to help us earn points:
    - Option 1: Play the Charity Cup game for up to 45 points for Habitat for Humanity
    - Option 2: Simply click on Habitat for Humanity to award us 1 point

Be sure to click the picture above to play some online golf and help us in our efforts towards winning this year's grand prize!!
